Short Name

is there anyway to change the shortname the admin if its already set?

eg.

you have been using the account name joejake for 3 months and the shortname is jj is there any wat to change the shortname to something like joesph or just change it.
i know u can change the login name

1 gig ram ,100 gig harddrive ,bluetooth, osx tiger10.4.2,cdr cdrw dvdr dvdrw, Mac OS X (10.4.2)

I don't think you can.

The next best thing I think is opening finder, clicking on the house, clicking on info or Apple+i, clicking Name and Extension and changing that.

Other then that, I think a new user, or reformatting is your only other option.

Someone with more experience may know the definitive answer though
