Trying to update my iPod but won't let me tried restarting router using other computers to download the lastest update because says there's an update. I have the version 4.3.5 is that the lastest version for my iPod and that why it's giving be a hard time download?

If your iPod has cameras it is a 4G and will go to 6.1.6, Yo need iTunes 10.7 or later on the computer
If no cameras you have a 3G. It will go to 5.1.1 and you need iTunes 10.5 or later on the computer
Ok thank you. This brings me to a new question. So I tried to update my iPod but everytime I try to download the latest software it always tells me that it could not connect to iTunes please check your network. I checked my network and I've updated before but this is the first time it's telling me that it could not connect.

- Powering off and then back on your router.
- iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server
- Change the DNS to either Google's or Open DNS servers

- For one user uninstalling/reinstalling iTunes resolved the problem
- Try on another computer/network
- Wait if it is an Apple problem
