Open your My Photo Stream album, tap Select, tap the photos, tap the trash icon.

I wasn't clear...how do I delete albums? They are eating up my storage. Thanks!
You mentioned photo stream. Are these shared photo stream albums? Or are these albums you created on your device or synced to your device from your computer?
The trash can appears only on photos that you originate in photo stream. For streams that I RECEIVE, when you tap on a photo, there is no choice of a trash can. The Apple help site only describes deleting your own original photos or deleing the whole stream but not how to delete single photos from streams you receive.
