My wife and I have macs and the kids have PC's can I still use the airport extreme to make a network for everyone? It works fine for us but I cantget the kids connected?

What version of Windows are they running?
Your AirPort Extreme is designed to work with all wireless clients regardless of which operating system they run. Some Windows-based PC have difficulity connecting when the wireless network's name (or SSID) has either/both special characters or spaces in them.
If this is the case for yours, you may want to consider using something that does not use either to see if this helps.
