Q: Restricting Browser Images on iPad
I have my daughter's iPad set to only allow certain websites using Settings > General > Restrictions.
But later I discovered that this does not disable her web browser (this is in a different section of Settings > Safari > Search Engine). She is still able to browse on Google. This is ok from a website perspective since she can browse but not open any of the URLs (she'll receive the message that it's restricted)
BUT... if you you're on the browser Google and you did a search and then clicked over to "Images", than all the images load. THAT IS A PROBLEM.
It seems that even though I have not "allowed" Google in the Restrictions section, it is still allowed on the Safari settings and cannot be turned off.
Additionally, I don't have the choice to filter Google because in the Restrictions section you can only either filter adult content or restrict to approved sites. You can't do both.
My only work around as I can tell is to turn off Safari. But that won't work for us. My daugther's math and art school curriculum are on particular websites.
What I want is to be able for my daugther to access her school curriculum on particular websites and NOT be able to browse on Google, or at least not be able to view the images in a Google search.
I am hoping someone has a solution. But I fear that there isn't one. Please help!
