I have tried the resetting with the home and on/off with no luck. itunes won't move forward either. It is set to auto synd and stopped on 2 of 7. Voice control is overriding everthing. The touch screen is not doing anything but having the voice control describe what you touch. Please help.

You have the accessibility VoiceOver feature turned on.
Triple click the home button and try going to Settings>General>Accessibility and turn VoiceOver off. You may have to use three fingers to scroll the screen to get there. If problems see the following for how to turn off via iTunes:

So the voice over I was able to get turned off but it still not working properly. I can slide the bar to get to the passcode but when I try to enter the numbers there is only a clicking noise but no boxes fill in. Thank you for your help!!
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup. See:
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
Very helpful, and new learning about voice over turned on accidentally.
