App Store: Circle keeps on spinning endlessly

I know what is going on but I don't know why. I also don't like the work around.

When I select the app to download via the iTunes App Store, the circle keeps on spinning endlessly. What is missing is your user authentication password pop up. I find that if I reboot the phone only (not close the App) and try again, it fixes things. However, I don't know why this is happening and I noticed this also happened with iOS 6 (near the end of it's lifecycle).

iPhone 5, iOS 7.0.4

Hello Romplestiliskin,

It sounds like your iTunes store is not prompting you to enter your password until you restart the phone. I recommend starting by signing out of your iTunes and App store accounts in Settings.

Then close all the running apps:

iOS: Force an app to close

Double-click the Home button.

Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.

Swipe the app up to close it.

When you have done that and restart the phone, sign back into your account, and test the issue again:

iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
