Sending blank emails

My colleague has a problem with her email - when she emails someone with an attachment, the main email text disappears, as if she's sent a blank email.

It only seems to happen when she emails certain addresses, and even then not all the time, but we're tried changing the font and selecting plain text format, and it doesn't make any difference.

Messages without attachments are fine, and forwarding or replying with attachments is mixed, but whenever she starts the email and sends it to certain addresses the emails arrive blank, but with the attachment.

She's on OSX 10.9.1 and using Mac Mail 7.1

Any ideas?

I would start by trashing her Mail preferences.

Option-click the Go menu to select her Library. Then go to Preferences folder, locate any com.apple.mail-something.plist files. Trash them and restart Mail and see if that helps.

Also, does she use the same Signature file for each message? See if a different Signature makes a difference (even create a new one, if need be).

First Welcome to the Discussions.

These 2 links may or maynot help but I think are well woth having a look.

I would first go to your Balck Apple and make sure there are no Updates available for your Software.

Followed by reading this 2nd link very carefully and see if this may show your issue.

Microsoft Exchange Server will convert any text following an attachment into an attachment as well.

My guess is that she's putting an image/pdf etc.. at the start of her document. All she should need to do is place her attachments at the end of the document.

Here's the link where someone's kindly covered this case thoroughly: http://kb.mit.edu/confluence/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=4981187
