I am still not convinced, that hardware is the root cause:

It was said in this forum, that the update process kills the wifi sensor, because of the iPhone working too hard, in simple terms.

I think, that all of you do agree, that iPhones have a temperature management, that switches off the iPhone when its too hot.

If the above reason was the case for wifi failure, the temperature management failed.

The temperarture management is part of iOS software ! So the software did a bad job.

Many people that had this issue in the past had reported that reverting to an older iOS did the trick and restored the use of wifi for along time!but attempting to re install the update caused the same problem! This does not sound like a hardware issue to me because a hardware issue would have the same problem no matter what iOS you were using!

Btw my wifi and Bluetooth have worked for several days now rock steady since I did a h&c(that is my pet name for a heat and cool!

We may not even truly know the extent of this because the only people that come here are those out of warranty and have no where else to turn! There could be thousands upon thousands with the same symptoms who even have brand new phones with the problem

Well, you did notice that the article was over a year old. When iOS 7 was initially released, there was a window of time when you could downgrade using a path provided by Apple. That window has long been closed, and no matter what method you use, if you downgrade your iOS, you will be voiding your warranty with Apple as downgrading the iOS is not supported by Apple in any way. Also, that article seemed to be geared toward App developers being able to downgrade while developing apps for the beta version of iOS 7.

The issues that came up during the beta testing of iOS 7 (when the iOS was only available to developers), are expected. There were a myriad of of things that were out there initially in the beta version that were changed radically due to developer feedback. This would include the fixing of bugs, the modification of design, the addition of software, etc.

But, bottom line, downgrading is not supported, and if you do it, and then have issues, Apple will not help you.

Cheers,

Well, it looks like Apple doesn't help anyway...

Me, with a 4s with wifi stopping working everytime after few seconds of use (before upgrade it worked smoothly), I've been bounched from Apple store to carrier and back despite a phone still under warranty (2yrs in Europe).

Phone is a working tool to me. Can't waste time because of a bad product (I had 4 and 4s, both with problems). I quit Apple phones.

So I bought an Android for a third of the price, synced with iClud server in a snap, and no worries about malware 'cause I'm using only few apps very well known.

I've also been able to upgrade (without clogging the phone with unwanted upgrades) to latest KitKat and no issues...

Good luck.
