Have you tried reinstalling the drivers and re-adding the printers?

The filter failed message suggests the drivers you are using are not compatible with 10.9 or they are broken. Have you checked for updated drivers?

One action you could perform is to trash the respective manufacturers folder from HD > Library > Printers. With this completed, you can then check the Ricoh web site for a 10.9 driver and for the HP, when you select to add the printer again, you should get a prompt stating that a driver is available from Apple and would you like to download and install it.

I am seeing this same issue on our network.  After updating to 10.9.2 our ricoh MP C3000 printer will pause at the "Hold for authentication" and freeze. I'm guessing it will need a new driver but I would like to know a fix if possible.

Since updating to os x mavericks 10.9.2 my macbook pro will no longer detect my hp photosmart c7250 all-in-one printer.  I have tried everything i can think of to rectify this problem.  From the comments on this board it seems there are many others with similar issues.  Does anyone know when apple will be adding a fix for this problem?

    Thanks-
