App Store won't download or update apps, ipad & ipad mini

I've tried downloading new apps from the App Store however the app won't download to my ipad. I've also selected to update about 13 apps however these are not updating either. They just sit there as black icons and eventually get a message ' unable to download apps. Could not be downloaded at this time.' Happening on ipad and my mini.

I tried doing a software update however get the message ' unable to check for update'

I tried rebooting, but want to know if it's an issue with the Australian servers rather than my devices.

this is totally unhelpful. I have been running around in circles for hours and not getting anywhere. I can't download anything!!!!! and not one place on the internet helps! I am ready to take a sledge hammer to my ipad.

Hey there,

ran into the same problem today.

Unfortunately restoring to factory settings seemed to do the trick.

didnt try restoring from back up.

but i am able to download apps again.

could be worth a try

I didn't find that article helped me much, except that when I was in the general setting to change the date and time, I tried just resetting only my network settings to factory default and now I can download again.

Apps update icon rotates but no update happening. New apps won't download.

SOLVED! Just switched iPad off and on (using the edge mounted power button).

TADA!
