Front camera on iPad 2 not working on iOS 7.1

I just got the update to iOS 7 earlier today on my iPad 2 16 gig MC979LL/A and I have noticed that the front facing camera is no longer working. In the stock camera and photobooth it just displays grey or black and no image other than the camera controls to take a picture, add filters, or switch cameras. In 3rd party applications (I.e. After light photo editor). The app just crashes and then displays an error message wen reopened. The back camera works fine. I have already shut the iPad down and turned it back on many times and also done a hard reset. Everything worked in iOS 7.0.6 responses are appreciated. Thanks!

Similar but slightly different problem after update on iPad retina display: won't toggle out of video mode to camera or square(what's square?). Closed camera app, hard boot, still stuck in video mode. Could it be cuz I leaped from iOS 5 to 7? Been busy/lazy. HELP!

Try This First...

Close All Open Apps... Sign Out of your Account... Perform a Reset... Try again...

Reset ( No Data will be Lost )

Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...

Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...

Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)

Release the Buttons..

If no joy... Try a Restore...

1: Connect the device to Your computer and open iTunes.

2: If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane.

Make sure you have the Latest Version of iTunes (v11.1.5) Installed on your computer

Wow. Little embarrassed. Discovered iPad is more a swipe screen than a touch screen with the newer iOS. Kept touching video/camera/square in attempts to change modes when it's really a screen swipe (as I'm sure the rest of this community knows). Ignorance is not always bliss. I took it to the Genius bar and they restored it and it's fixed now. They blamed a couroupted backup.
