Hi All,
When exporting slideshow to .mov, I can't find exporting options. However, I can choose resolution BUT NOT codec/framerate! 😟
It was implemented on previous versions, but not here on 9.5.X
As I see, Iphoto always exports h.264 at 30fps.
Trying to export .mov on PRORES at 25fps.... no options?? 😟
any ideas?

Final Cut Pro X $299
It's difficult to compare these apps. They have differences in capability - some are driven off templates. some aren't. Some have a wider variety of transitions. Others will have excellent audio controls. It's worth checking them out to see what meets your needs. However, there is no doubt that Final Cut Pro X is the most capable app of them all. You get what you pay for.

Why does Apple continue to REMOVE capabilities from their software? For example, Quicktime X has a fraction of the capabilities of Quicktime 7.
If you open the exported movie file with Quicktime Player 7 and export from it you have these options:
I have Quicktime Pro installed so don't know if it's required in order to get these options.

The problem is that you've already taken a compression hit by iPhoto only letting you use h.264. I want to export to ProRes and add elments to it in FCP without transcoding/loss of quality.
Then you may have to create the slideshow in FCP or some 3rd party slideshow app that gives you those options.
