BLUE SCREEN ON MACBOOK after HDMI connection, help!

Hi, I had my MacBook Pro connected to my tv via HDMI, normally when I connect the two the screen will go blue for a few seconds and then they will clone to my comp. However when I unplugged the connector from my computer the blue screen came on, and nothing I do will clear it. I've tried...

-pressing escape or various other keyboard buttons.. Nothing

-closing the MacBook (the blue screen stays on even when closed)

-restarting the computer (power clicks off but the blue screen stays on somehow??)

-letting the battery drain and booting it up (apple logo then blue screen comes back)

-there is no cursor

-tried syncing my iPhone to see if that would change the screen... Still blue.

Any help would be MUCH appreciated!
