Q: Problems with a very BIG book more than 2000 pages

I have to create a very big book (more than 2000 pages). It's a list of over 12.000 drugs.

I have some questions:

1) as the entire book is produced by a program, is there some way to produce automatically the ibook format?

2) I see that creating an index of 12.000 voices makes it unusable. With mobi i have created a dictionary. Is it something similar in ibooks?

    There is no way to produced the .ibooks format except by using the iBooks Author app.  This format can only be read on an ipad and on OS 10.9, so you might want to consider using .epub format instead.  It can be read on any platform and there are lots of different ways to produce it.
