Clone/Copy/Rip DVD

I video concerts and events for the school I work for. After editing out the stuff I don't want with iMovie, I send it to iDVD to add menus, chapters, extras, subtitles, etc. I am desperately wanting a way I can get all of the content off of the finished DVD in a format where I can share it with anyone who brings me a flash drive.

After searching, I found ways to put the footage I recorded in a format to share it with anyone with a flash drive, but the extras I add with iDVD are lost. I really want the DVD to be put in a file format where the viewer can just open the file and it would be exactly the same as putting in my finished DVD.

This would be ideal since I would share most content with 80+ people for just one event. We have hundreds of events a year I record and I don't have the budget or the time to burn that many DVDs. If there is something out there that will do this, I would very much appreciate it to be made aware of it!

Thanks.

If you're going to make the disk image from the iDVD project follow this workflow to help assure the best qualty video DVD:

Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the File ➙ Save as Disk Image menu option. This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.

To check the encoding mount the disk image, launch DVD Player and play it. If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding is good.

For burning new disks:

Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality. Always use top quality media: Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.
