Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
I just tried to update my iphone 5c to ios7.1 via itunes. It dowloaded, extracted rebooted to the 'plug the phone into itunes' screen and then sat there. iTunes can't see it. Any suggestions? I am using Windows and the phone is not jailbroken

Temporarily disable your firewall and antivirus software and try again...

Then you need to connect tour computer and open iTunes.
Make sure you have the Latest Version of iTunes (v11.1.5) Installed on your computer

You may need to try this More than Once... Be sure to Follow ALL the Steps...
Take your time... Pay particular attention to Steps 3 and 4.
Note. Once the Device is asking to be Restored with iTunes... it is too late to save anything... and you must continue with the Recovery..
There is something up with this update... it has taken down two iphones so far, forced back to a restore and update...
the second phone is going around in circles with constant restores, so hopefully will take at some point
I am finally going ahead with this option.
Few days ago, iPhone not showing up in latest 11.1.5 issue came up and it was resolved be reinstalling the Apple Mobile Driver.
Please stop posting this in every thread because it does not work. I have tried it over 100 times and nothing has happened. I have tried it on two seperate computers with two different iTunes updates, I have tried updating iTunes, I have tried uninstalling and re installing it, it does NOT work. Apple really needs to fix this because its bricked my phone and there are no apple stores within an hour of me, good thing I'm up for a new phone and hello HTC! This should not be happening, why can't they actually put out an update that works?
