battery

Hello all! I recently got a replacement IPhone 5 because of battery and cycling issues. I want to make the most of my new batttery, but am unsure of what the best plan is in terms of charging cycels. I have read in other forums that the batteries have memory and that it is best to let the phone "die" or shut off before I charge it. I have also read that it is better to charge the phone when it get to %20 or %5 and then let it go dead once a month. Which is better? I have went through and changed many of my settings to help the battery last longer such as reducing the brightness, turning off add tracking and also fetching mail or data manually. I was hoping someone had more tips or some advice on what to do about the battery.
