I've used the Add to Library function to add some ePub and pdf books to my iTunes library but the Book folder which I expect to show up under Library isn't there. I'm trying to get these publications onto my iPad for reading in iBooks.
Any ideas?

AFraid I didn't find anything there to help. I was syncing my iPad from my MacBook Pro at home but have switched to my MacPro at work. My iTunes book purchases are fine, but I have a couple of ePubs and some PDF's that were on my iPad and were lost in the sync switch to the MacPro. I have them on my MacPro now, trying to add them to the iTunes library so I can sync them again, but they're not showing up in iTunes.
