When I save a mail message to my desktop, it loses its attachments. How can I prevent the attachments being omitted?

How do I prevent the attachments from going away when I save an email to my computer?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.6)

That screen shot is from 10.6.8

If your profile is correct you are running 10.6.6, you should update to 10.6.8 You want to be running Mail 4.6 or above (4.6 is the latest for Snow Leopard 10.6.8)

You can update here:

This is a large update which will update Mail. You will need to restart your computer after, then run software update to bring everything else up tp date.
