I'm trying to save a document from the internet but it says i need a "owner password" and i don't know it.

That would probably be your admin password. If you don't know it, boot from the Snow Leopard DVD and under the Utilities menu, select reset password. Reboot normally. If you are not running 10.6, please advise.
