If you truly feel the iPhone is worthless, purchase another device that provides the functionality you seek. (I understand some Android devices do but it depends on the carrier; for example Verizon only provides confirmation on some phones and only when sending an SMS to other Verizon customers.)
iPhones are actually worth quite a bit on the used market.
People you are so lame worshipers!
We are talking about a functionality that is supported by most carriers (at least in Europe), devices from 90s support that and you answer is:
"If iPhone is not good enough for you, buy another device"
You are really worshiping Apple and you are blind to understand the meaning of the post!
LOL

As we are just your fellow users, what else would you have us do? Join you in whining and ranting? We can't change anything for you.
I thought I was posting something in the Official Apple support center.....
You cannot (apparently) do anything for that but probably as in any other support community, PMs from the company (aka Apple) will check the requests and probably WILL BE ABLE TO DO SOMETHING.
This is how modern Support centers work. This is how companies are having input from their customers.
So if you cannot do anything and you don't want to "whine" then just don't spam / troll with answers like "hey buy some other phone"....
In other words, if you don't have a solution to our request for a feature that is present in most of modern devices, just don't spam / troll by irrelevant and childish responses.
Is that clear enough for you to understand it? Or shall I paint it down?
SMS is a carrier feature, not controlled by the device itself. If the carrier does not support delivery reports for their SMS system, then that feature will be unavailable, regardless of what device you use.
Is that clear enough for you to understand, or shall I paint it down for you?

This is a user-to-user support forum, which you would know if you had read the Terms of Use when you signed up. Apple doesn't have much direct posting presence here. If you want to use feedback, use the Feedback link.
If you want to contact Apple directly, use the Contact Us link at the bottom right of every page. Is that clear enough or do you need more assistance?
Apparently you are not more than a teenager that thinks he knows everything.
So I am telling you mister wise guy "it is a carrier function" that:
1. My carrier supports that
2. I am using another device and I have this feature with the SAME carrier
3. iPhone does not have that on the SAME carrier
So mister wise, as I said before
"Both Carrier and Device NEED to support that. IF the Carrier or the DEVICE don't support, you DON'T have it."
As I explained above, THE CARRIER SUPPORTS IT.
We are requesting from APPLE to consider including that feature to iPhone.
So let me paint it for you
[Sender construct sms + include delivery notification request] -> [sends to carrier] -> [carrier sends sms to recipient] -> [recipient reads sms] -> [carrier sends back to sender a notification]
From the above chain what is missing is the part "+ include deliver notification request"
Have a nice trolling.....
Haven't been a teenager for a few decades. But nice try. You're the only one here being a 'troll'. And an ineffective one at that.
The carrier has to support that feature for that device. It's not the DEVICE that is required to enable/disable that function for SMS.
Carrier provides the SMS. Carrier provides the features of the SMS. Carrier controls whether or not such a feature is enabled/disabled for particular smartphone models. The carrier may have that as an available feature for an Android, but not make it available for iPhones. The technology exists on the iPhone to display delivery reports (and even read receipts), as shown by the iMessage function.
Apple controls how iMessage works, so they enable that feature for iMessage.
Carriers control how SMS/MMS works, so they enable that feature for SMS/MMS, depending on the smartphone model.
IF the carrier enabled it on their side for iPhones, then it would immediately begin working on an iPhone. But if the carrier does not, then it won't display.
And why is this such a critical issue for you? Why do you need to get a delivery report for a text message?
Did you just make your account here a week ago just to troll? lol
Perhaps you need to read the Terms of Use of this forum again. Apple isn't here to read your comments. Apple doesn't monitor this forum for your feedback. The only Apple presence here are the Hosts, that simply edit content posted to this forum that violates the terms of use, when such posts are reported by other users. They don't look through all these threads searching for input from users. This is a USER-TO-USER forum, which you'd know if you bothered to read the Terms of Use.
This isn't the forum for feedback. Go to www.apple.com/feedback and give your 'feedback' there.

Why are you telling us? Tell Apple. Use the Feedback link provided.
It's actually kind of amusing to watch this.

HAhahaha classic greek guy! Το κατάλαβες ή να στο ζωγραφίσω;
i wonder how clueless you really are....seriously
this is totally a phone feature...I live in India...and my nokia 5233 gives info about when receiver actually receive your message.....so yeah may be it is limited on some carriers but in India all carriers have this feature but iPhone dont show you ****.
If the message is delivered successfully, it does not show anything but if it is NOT delivered it shows "Not Delivered".
thats all!

Yes, that is correct. That is what you should be seeing if your iPhone is operating as designed.
