Q: no access to old email and can't update account to my new email because I created a new account ID with the new email, how do I get access to my old account. I tried updating the password but it still won't access the old account with all my music, thanks

Is it possible to even get access to the old account now that I used my new email as a new account ID?

iPod classic, Windows 8

What happened when you tried updating the account's password, did that work ? If it did then how are you trying to get access to its music ? You can authorise an account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > Authorise This Computer menu option. Whether you can redownload music depends upon what country that you are in - if you are in a country where music can be redownloaded then the music for the logged in account on your computer's iTunes (Store > Sign In/Out menu option) will show under the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage for redownloading (redownloading an account's past purchases may tie a computer to that account for 90 days : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4627). Or you can copy it into your iTunes library from your backup via the File > Add To Library menu option.

If you can't get access to the account via http://iforgot.apple.com then you you will need to contact Support in your country and see if you can get access to the account that way : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699

Have you bought/downloaded anything on your new account ? If not then you could replace the email address on that with a different one (e.g. create a new account via http://gmail.com or http://hotmail.com) so that you can then try putting it on your old account (assuming that you get access to it). You can replace the primary email address via the Store > View Account menu option on your computer's iTunes or via http://appleid.apple.com
