Reminders app text size OS X 10.9

Most OS X 10.9 apps allow the user to adjust the default text size. I often need larger text than the standard settings. I can't figure out how to do this with the Reminders app in OS X Mavericks.

I've seen hacks that involve hacking the .plist file, this doesn't seem to be possible with Reminders. Is there another way of doing the same thing?
