I have a MacOS X Version 10.5.8 and need to install the latest version 11.1.5 in order to syncronize my Iphone. But then in order to do this you need at least the the 10.6.8 version. Is there an easier way of getting the 11.1.5 version?

I have a Mac OS X Version 10.5.8 and need to install the latest version 11.1.5 in order to synchronize my Iphone.

When I try downloading this version it explains that before doing so, I need to have at least the 10.6.8 version.

Is there an easier way of getting the 11.1.5 version?

No. You need to upgrade the computer's OS to 10.6.3 and then 10.6.8; back up your data before proceeding.
