I have a mac book pro OSX 10.9.2 and I have a HP Deskjet 4580,what drivers are compatible?

Rui C - that's a one year-old thread. He's probably not watching it.

And - the correct way to get drivers these days is via Apple's Software Update System.

Apple's Software Update System didn't solve my problem in OS X Yosemite and HP no longer provide drivers downloads.

App Store updates installed repeatedly five times the same update in my Mac and the printer was not recognized by that software.

The only way that I could install the HP software utility in my Mac was from the HP Forum.

I hope my work can be useful for someone in the future with the same problem.
