Ipad stuck in recovery mode. Progress bar does not start..

Hi All,

My Ipad2 seems to be stuck in recovery/DFU mode. Its screen is blank and when connected to Itunes it says its in recovery mode. After I click on Restore, it starts the process on Itunes and then gets hung up on waiting for Ipad.. On the ipad, Apple logo comes up and then progress bar shows up, which does not move at all. I have left it for hours and it stays there with no progress and Itunes still saying waiting for Ipad.

How can I get it out of this DFU mode? It used to turn on when I held both home and power button togethor, but now its not even doing that.
