Why do my reminder details keep deleting on their own, and how do I fix it?

For EVERYTHING I use the reminders app. I have a list of school stuff to get done, but I can no longer make them remind me. Every time I set a time and day, I watch and it deleted the time and day right in front of my eyes. I do it again, it deletes again. It leaves the actual item, but it deletes the actual time and day to remind/alert me. What the heck is up with this?! Please help. As I said, I use this everyday.

Hello Samanthah92 of almost two years ago.

I now have a one year old iPhone6+ and have never gotten Reminders to work with an alert. Just tried again a while ago and found a similar question by someone else on here. An answer was given directing to a recipe for setting a reminder, but no reference to the alert (audible) in the recipe. I commented on it and was asked what didn't I understand about the recipe.

I checked to see if the one I had set for 10 hours and 9 minutes from now was still on and did it have anything about an alert. OOPS.. The date and time of the reminder was turned off. I reset the time and when I clicked on 'done', the banner show it with the date and time for a couple seconds and then the date and time disappeared. I was chastised about being in the wrong forum, so tried again and found your question that specifically addresses my newfound problem.

I'm tired of all this hassle and demeaning response.
