ipod with outdoor speakers

You can't connect the iPod to "just" speakers-- there has to be an amplifier powered by batteries or a power cord. So if you have a portable stereo with an auxillary input, or you have outdoor speakers connected to a stereo system, then you can hook it up. And there are a number of small speaker systems made for things like the iPod-- some pretty good and pretty cheap.

When I was in London I had a Logitech x-230 which seems to be only $30 at Amazon:

I paid way more! We used them for music in our flat and for good sound with DVD movies.

Those aren't outdoor speakers at all.

What do you mean by "outdoor speakers"?
Do you want something you can carry around with you and take on a picnic? Try the iPod Hi-Fi in the Apple Store.

Or are you looking at hooking something up to your home stereo with waterproof speakers permamnetly outside?
