Hi,

Hi,

I have an Iphone 4s,

Recently I have updated my software and I have created a new appleID coz I forgot the other one's password.

I am now having problems with Iclouds, it has the old appleID.

How do I change itand use the new ID?

If you are trying to activate an iPad or iPhone and it is asking for a previous owners Apple ID and password, you have encountered the Activation Lock. This is a security feature that prevents thieves from setting up and using a stolen or lost iPad or iPhone. You have no alternative. No must contact the previous owner to get permission to use the device. If you cannot contact the previous owner return the device to where you bought it and get a refund. You will never be able to activate the device and no one can help you do it.

Ralph, I think you need to read posts more carefully before you post this boilerplate. In this thread, for instance, the OP didn't obtain the iPhone from someone else. He/she has just forgotten the password to the original Apple ID used to set up iCloud. So your advice is rather off target, as it is in a couple of other threads you've responded in.

Regards.
