I am looking to purchase a 30" display but the posting says it is NOT compatable with Mac computers
Can anyone explain what makes a monitor none compatable???

Almost any display will work with a Mac with the correct cable or adapter.

It is a ******* name , Yamakasi Sparta from Korea
The listing states it's a by-pass monitor
My Mac Pro has an Ati Radeon HD 5770 graphics card

It has DisplayPort, so can connect to the ATI Radeon HD 5770 with a Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable
or you could use a DUAL-LINK DVI cable.

It is an eBay listing. So I should ignore that it states no mac computers?.
