My iphone 5 no longer works with my $70 Sony alarm clock.

I woke up today late to work because my iphone wasn't playing my alarm through the sony alarm clock with dock. That i dock my phone in at night. I updated ios last night and im pretty sure this is what made my iphone not play anymore. Can i downdate? i dont care if my phone doesnt charge through my alarm. I bought this expensive a$$ alarm clock because i can set a million alarms on it and have them play super load so i wake up.
