How do I remove Ask from my macbook pro?

I would like to remove the very invasive Ask.com. from my macbook. I'm only using the installed Apple firewall.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi jr_boston - the Ask Toolbar isn't compatible with OS X, so the only thing you might see on your MBP is a default homepage or default search engine, both of which are settings changeable from your browser.

If normal browser settings changes don't stick, then check to see if you've installed a browser add-on that may bundle Ask search tools. The add-on's settings would allow you to disable the search tools, or you can remove the add-on altogether to resolve it.

"Powered by Ask" means the homepage was set by a partner installation of some other program. If you'd like, I'd be happy to jump on the phone with you and do an online meeting so we can look at it together and figure it out. If you'd like to do that, get in touch with my team via http://help.ask.com and one of them will get you set up to talk to me.
