hi there, I've been trying to update my OS from mountain lion to maverick which is unsuccessful, tho my system does show 10.9.2 but my wallpaper still show the galaxy thinggy, thnks
If About this Mac shows 10.9.2, that's what you're running. As for the Desktop Picture (wallpaper is so windoze-centric), try selecing another via the ScreenSaver prefPane.
