My MacBook Pro suddenly started freezing and running really slow

Hello guys, This is my first post.

I have a Macbook pro that is currently running OS X verions 10.9.2. My processor is 2.9 GHz Intel Core i7 and my Memory is 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3. I purchased the laptop in Mid 2012 and my warranty is already expired.

3 days ago my macbook suddenly started acting really slow, Especially when i tried to watch a clip on facebook. I dont know if that has anything to do with it, but ever since then it takes atleast 10-15 seconds for my macbook to process a simple thing such as Opening a folder or even a right click!

So i backed up all my files and restored it to its factory setting and i'm still having the same problem. I even did a System Management Controller reset and nothing changed. This is very frustrating since i'm a medical student and my major exams are coming up and really need this laptop to work properly or else 8 years of my life is down into the drain. I really appricate it if someone has a solution to this.

I also ran Etrecheck and i got the following results:
