    Hello Icarus222,

    Thanks for your reply.

I just tried one more time this morning and it worked!

I tried on a pc using Firefox.

    My account has been created.

I don't have the error message no more.

I hope you will finally get the same resust as I had.

    Regards.

Have you filled in all the information required using  iTunesConnect > Banking and Contracts ??

If you have not entered your bank and credit card details..... it  may well be the problem.

Onno24, tried on a PC last night using Firefox and it worked!

Very strange! Entered exactly the same information in exactly the same way, using the exact same internet conection (on an older computer mind you!) and my account was created.

    Obviously an Apple  error.

Vinnyvg - yes, had the CC details entered from the beginning - you can't actually get as far as entering your personal details if you don't have your bank info included in your itunes account.

Anyway, will head in to work in a few minutes and see if I can upload my iBooks from there.

Looking around various Mac related forums - opinions suggest Apple have been changing their security systems after reports  that  "billions" of accounts  IDs from  a few of the  top online companies.. Apple, MS  Yahoo etc,. being offered for sale  online. So far no addmissions of being  "hacked' have been made.

Truth or Fake - the  only fact seems to be that  all those having problems with accounts have suddenly found the problems ( me included!)  went away  overnight!

Took a few "overnights" for my problems to go away - and that was only when I used another platform.

I'm sticking to my original conclusion that it's an Apple related problem.... anyway, your overnights would be in a different timezone to my overnights I'd imagine!

It's mid-morning here (in Queensland, Australia).

By "Overnight" I mean   the problems eventually went away.  Problems persisted for a  few days and changing  brwosers etc,.  was maybe coincidental to the problems being resolved. I  have no doubts  it was Apple updating security.

if you are sure changing  browsers cured your issue... go back to the browser  which  had the problem... is it still there?   I doubt it

I can't try it again as I've already set up an account using my ID.

It wasn't changing browsers that solved the issues, it was changing machines completely - I was able to sign up using a PC running windows.

Anyway, problem solved now. If anyone else is having a similar issue, I suggest try using a PC to sign up. This solved the issues for both Onno24 and myself.

    Cheers.

Security systems are totally different  in dealing with iMac and PC compatible applications.

BUT the main thing is you are up and running now....
