Annoying popups since i did the update to 10.9.2

since i did the update to 10.9.2 now every 2mins a internet window is opening for iTunes pinterest... https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/pinterest/id........ - no matter how many times i close it down it just reopens and if i don't close it another window opens with the same 2 mins later anyway, i can't get anything done with this happening - why do these updates never go smoothly? is anyone else having this problem? any suggestions on how i get it to stop??
