How do I prevent "Music" from auto-launching and resuming play when I connect iPhone 5s 7.1 to Bluetooth car audio?

2013 Hyundai Elantra. I have my phone paired via bluetooth. I go into my car with iPhone not currently running any apps. I select "Media" button on my head-unit (which is where the bluetooth paired device plays). "Music" app automatically launches on my phone and resumes play of whatever I was last listening to in "Music". 9/10 times I want to use Audible or some other app. How do I prevent "Music" from automatically launching and blasting music at me?

iPhone 5s, iOS 7.1

There's no phone setting to control that, it is the car's stereo that auto-initiates playback on your phone. My factory car stereo does that, but the Bluetrip in my truck does not.
