iOS7.1 update on my iPhone5S (and iPad) pulls up the wrong AppleID.

When I try to update my apps, the wrong AppleID pops up asking for the password (which we don't remember since he stopped using his Comcast email some time ago). The correct (mine) AppleID is listed in the settings. Since the wrong AppleID is nowhere in the settings I can't delete the account and put mine in. I have turned off the phone but it does not resolve the problem. The same thing is happening on my iPad. Any ideas or suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks

Pdroth is correct.

Purchases made with an Apple ID are forever associated with that ID. They must be updated with that Apple ID, and can be downloaded by that Apple ID as long as the apps, songs etc are available.

I suggest recovering the comcast email information or verify that Apple ID was changed to a new email in his iTunes account.

I signed out of my AppleID in the iTunes/Apps settings, then signed back in with my AppleID and then deleted the apps that needed to be updated and am now repurchasing them. The apps were not purchased with my husband's AppleID (the wrong ID) but deleting them and re-installing them seems to be working. I hope I don't have to do this every time a new operating system comes out as it is rather time consuming. Thanks for your help
