I am directed to a blank page when I try to download Whatsapp. How can I get it?

Whatsapp for iPhone is in the iTunes App Store on a Mac or PC, not the Mac App Store on a Mac. It would also be available from the App Store app on the iPhone.

I am experiencing this issue as well, and I'm using an iPad. Same thing with iOS 7.1.1 and 7.1.2. Clicking iPhone download link from whatsapp.com on Safari on iPad brings me to App Store with blank page.

Clicking same link with alternate browser (Mercury) opens App Store with message "Item Not Available The item you've requested is not currently available in the U.S. store"

Have you tried opening the app store app and doing a search? Whatsapp is an iPhone only app (not supported on iPads), BTW. It will not show up in an iPad app search

Yes, that's true, which is why it doesn't appear in App Store on the iPad, but you can still download it in iTunes on your computer and install it on iPad that way. It will run like any other iPhone app not optimized for iPad.

Except there is no way to make it work, because activation requires SMS service which the iPad cannot do. It also requires a valid functional cell number which the iPad does not have.

In short, Whatsapp is simply not functional on an iPad nor is it supported by the developer on it.
