I updated to iOS 7.1 on my iPhone 4S and I had all my text messages there after the update but then when I went to check my phone again ALL my text messages where gone and I didn't delete them at all... they just disappeared!
Also the battery life has been extremely bad compared to iOS 7.0.6 which was running smoothly until this newest update 😠

Restore from your last backup and you should get all of your messages back (assuming you didn't back it up again since those messages disappeared)

Thanks but spending few hours for a restore isn't worth the time and effort as these shouldn't of disappeared. I did a few hard resets and then they did come back. But the battery is barely holding now which it did fine in iOS 7.0.6.
