Looking for CanoScan N1240U driver for OS X 10.9

I've recently upgraded to mavericks and I have a CanoScan N1240U scanner. The Canon support website says "There is no driver for the OS Version you selected. The driver may be included in your OS or you may not need a driver."


Does anyone know how to find that? The scanner doesn't show up in system preferences with my printers. I've tried using Preview and Image Capture and it doesn't recognize the scanner is hooked up. These scanners are activated by a USB cable and not a power supply.
