I recently updated from Windows 8 to 8.1. Now I can't sync my iPhone 5. I have the latest version of iTunes and my phone is updated as well. It worked fine with Windows 8. Now iTunes doesn't show my phone when it's connected. My computer does recognize that my phone is connected. Is there a fix for Windows 8.1?

these are common problems with windows 8.1 and you can point the fault at MS not iTunes

This has also helped some people (it's how I fixed it when my 8.1 wouldn't see my iPad and iPod
Try going into the control panel, programs, add/remove programs
Uninstall iTunes, Apple mobile device service, Apple application support
then go to apple.com, redownload and reinstall iTunes and try again.
Thanks, will try this. I have Windows 8 and am asked to update to 8.1. Pre-update checked warned compatibility issues with Apple software, I am reluctant to attempt the update for fear of losing iTunes match. MS are being unfair! I have issues with One-Drive also!
