How to kill Front Row???

Hello,


I never knew what it was and really didn't care. Everytime my comp ****** me off cos of the internet bollocks I click on the ESC to stop it and suddenly I got this black screen with front row loading and can't get it off for a while it gets my nerve n this is useless .


please help me I'm on 10.5.8 dual 1ghz MDD

There are several ways to stop "Front Row":

1.) Usually you just press ESC to quit it.

2.) Launch the "Activity Monitor" (in the Utilities folder), search for "Front Row" and quit all corresponding processes.

3.) Open the System Library and search for "Front Row" - in the "Core Services" you will find the application "Front Row". Move it out of this folder and restart your computer.


Please be careful with 2 + 3: you do this on your own risk! And it is always a good idea to have a (Time Machine) backup.


If you remove "Front Row" from the "Core Services", then it might be impossible to use "Front Row" ever again.
