Wifi Problem on Windows 7

Hi!

I recently installed windows 7 on my late 2012 macbookpro retina - I used the bootcamps drivers and everything is fine except for the wifi connection. In short:

- When I use mac os X on the same laptop internet works just fine, but on windows 7 OS I experince issues like slow speed speed or sometimes id disconects on random for a brief moment

- This only happens when Im using wifi at home

- This only happens when other devices are using wifi

Hi Gin- I am exeriencing the EXACT SAME THING!!!! Soooo...... I tried like the dickens to find and download specific, updated drivers. if you go into the properties, you can find the hardware ID's and associated tags, so I Googled the ID's and sub systems. Interstingly, it doesn't take you to the Boradcom site but to fishy third party sites that trigger antivirus warnings. I think it's the drivers..... I'm going to take it to a computer store tomorrow to see if I can get it done on the cheap. I think they should more than know the correct drivers and where to quickly get them. The other option is to get a $90 proline 500 signal extender that may or may not work. Interstingly, XP loaded fine the first time with no issues. 7 is turning out, like most all MS products, to be a POS. 😕

Hi HRHalderman,

I think I got the problem solved for myselfe, I just reverted from 2013 Broadcom 802.11n Notwork Adapter driver to 2011.08.18 driver. What I did was:

> Go to Start, right clic on Compute and press Properties

> On the left upper corner I pressed Device Manager

> From there I navigated to Networ Adapters

> Dubblecliced on Broadcom 802.11n Notwork Adapter

> Now I cliced on the tab Driver

> There I pressed Update driver

> From there I selected option Brows my computer for driver softweare

> Afterwards I selected option Let me pick from a list of drivers on my computer

> Then I chose Broadcom 802.11n Notwork Adapter Version: 5.100.196.81 [2011.08.18]

After i did that, I didnt have to restart or anything - the internet started to work fine, and hase worked without a problem for the second day now, if it goes bad again, I will let you know.
