None of my movies / video will play in itunes

None of my movies will play in itunes.

I have updated to the latest version but the problem persists.

This is all movies. Imported videos andmy whole itunes purchased library.

A blank screen shows and it looks like the movie is loading but nothing happens. I can move the slider along the movie and it will show a still frame f the movie but wont play.

I was hoping this was a universal problem and the update would fix it but no luck.

The films playback fine on my apple TV and iphone so I know it's a problem with itunes on my Mac.

HELP!

I have exactly the same problem. Have searched and searched and nothing out there seems to have solved it.

Apple seem oblivious to the problem, either that or they just don't care!

And I've just found the same problem, the more I see with Apple and their attitudes towards aftercare and these kind of problems is making me reconsider whether or not its even worth keeping my itunes account.

What did you use to encode your movies? Handbrake is the best to get them from DVDs and you can set it to Universal Apple to work on any Apple device. If you purchased media from Apple the will help you. As I understand it, iTunes no loger works with movies purchased from Amazon or others because of their DRM. I hope this helps!
