Apr 23, 2014 12:17 AM in response to Jeff.Jacobby Cojaeck72,I´ve tested it. The problem ist solved with iOS 7.1.1.
You have to load the attachement again, bevor reopen it.
If it was corrupted bevore, it will still be corrupted.
But if you download it again, everything is fine now.
And I only talk about PDFs.
(The PPTX-issue is a different problem, which comes with MDM-controlled accounts. We needed a new version of our MDM-Proxy (MobileIron) to get it fixed. This came before the iOS update and solved the problem with pptx-Files).

Apr 23, 2014 12:37 AM in response to Cojaeck72by TheoSteil,Hi Cojaeck,
can't confirm this. Updated to 7.1.1.
Send me a new mail with PDFs attached -> open it directly -> corrupted images displayed
Press button "Load complete mail" -> PDF is displayed correctly
Waiting for the next update...

Apr 23, 2014 12:54 AM in response to Jeff.Jacobby Cojaeck72,Hi TheoSteil, hello freebird3411,
I have to correct myself. Your both are right.
To documents that showed problems in the past work now for whatever reason.
But all my other documents used for testing still show the problem.
Aaarrrgh....
Greetings
Cojaeck

Apr 23, 2014 1:31 PM in response to kellyfromseabrookby hmiles5878,did anyone discover a solution for opening pdfs after 7.1.1

Apr 23, 2014 1:46 PM in response to hmiles5878by SignatureA,We have not found a solution. The same problem seems to be happening with 7.1.1, at least on the iPhone. :/

Apr 23, 2014 3:21 PM in response to Jeff.Jacobby Hcarbis,Our office is also experiencing this issue with its fleet of pads and phones. It doesn't appear to be every attachment but the majority of them.
Attachments come in on Windows/Mac desktop work fine, as soon as they open on phone or pad and forward, the attachments become corrupted. We have indicated this as an issue only in the latest iOS update. Funny enough if its a multiple attachment email, the only attachments corrupted are the ones opened on the phone or pads.
Hope there is a fix soon or were going back to Blackberry and nobody wants to go back in time to that.

Apr 28, 2014 10:28 AM in response to Hcarbisby grimre,I am experiecing the same problem, although the workaround I found for some users is to connect on a wifi connectiong and download the pdf. The issue seems to happen to users that are out in the field that are just on cellular data. Hopefully they have a fix in place as this soon.....

May 2, 2014 7:00 AM in response to Jeff.Jacobby Norther1981,I'm not sure i figured it out that the issue also exists with office files ( like excel ) on an other iphone 4s they received the same error. How ever I'm having an iphone 4 with 7.1.1 on it and don't have the issue.
The only difference I know between the other iphone and my iphone is that am connected to and Exchange 2010 with Service Pack 3 and Rollup 5 and the other one had an older exchange version.
I'm not sure but i might has something to do with each other that you need to update your exchange server with the latest patches to see if the issue persists.
I don't know if some can confirm the same experience which I had

May 2, 2014 10:48 AM in response to Norther1981by Jeff.Jacob,I'm pretty certian it's a conflict with exchange 2007. Sadly upgrading is not in our plan for this year.

May 2, 2014 11:52 AM in response to Jeff.Jacobby Norther1981,hey Jeff,
I agree on that i just figured out that the problem phone connects also to and exchange 2007 server
Unfortunately we can't force the the cloud provider to upgrade. unless many more people starting to complain to them.

May 10, 2014 5:45 PM in response to Jeff.Jacobby Xtrmlyfrustrated,Tried most of the workarounds. No consistency! Sometime instead of the corrupt file message, the PDF will open, but it will be totally garbled--half pages of text, half of erratic lines. Once in a while (increasingly rarely) the PDF will open correctly if I forward it to myself, then restart the iPad. Jeez. I need access to PDFs NOW for my work.
On this issue the iPad ***** as much as a Microsoft compatible product. . . And it cost more. Good luck to Apple if they don't fix this. . .

May 15, 2014 8:54 AM in response to Xtrmlyfrustratedby techarfb,This is a huge problem for my business. Is there any update from Apple for a fix?

May 19, 2014 2:06 PM in response to Jeff.Jacobby Smashyballjack,Have you scrolled to tbe bottom of the email to see the option, "Download full message"? Tapping that link downloads the complete, uncorrupted PDF. Still, it is incovenient, especially for those of us who count on being able to routinely send PDFs to people who *don't* know the trick.
It needs to be a user setting for Exchange users on Mail for iOS. Very frustrating.
