Q: ios update problem - 7.1 11D167 iphoto not picking up new photos

I just installed 7.1 11D167 on my iphone.

When I connect my iphone to my mac running 10.6.8, iphoto opens but it doesn't pick up the new pictures on the phone.

I ran software update for the Mac running 10.6.8 and rebooted.

I also rebooted the phone.

Linux, Other OS

I figured out the fix for the Mac users having this problem. I connected my iPhone to my iMac and started iTunes. A dialogue came up in iTunes, I OK'd that and then OK'd the usual "Do you trust this Mac" that comes up on my iPhone.

Suddenly Image Capture launched itself and there were all my photos, ready to be downloaded.

I too and having the same issue.  I tried what Roobin suggested, but I did not get an dialog.  It just opened up into Iphoto, recognizing my iphone as a camera with zero new photos.  I'll submit a bug report.  I just thought I would chime in and say I too was having the same issue with the new update and iphoto.

    Thank you Robin.

I didn't know if it would work because I can not download the latest version of iTunes as I am still on 10.5.8 and can only run iTunes 10, but I tried your sugestion and It worked for me.

iTunes will not connect to my phone but iPhoto opened automatically and all my pics were there and I was able to DL them to my computer.

10 points to you for solving

sorry to resurrect a slightly old thread for my first post but i was googling for a solution to this issue and was directed here.

i work in a photo processing environment and customers often come in for quick image prints off their mobile devices. recently i've been experiencing the OP's issue with iPhones. we have for the last 4 years of operation always been able to print camera roll images through our self serve printing kiosks via USB - as long as the camera roll was open before connecting the USB lead - however in the last 4-5 months there's been an increase in customer devices not being recognised after the 'Trust this computer' dialogue. this must be due to some change with iOS7 as my old 4S, which is still on iOS6.1.5, connects and allows printing without conflict.

i'd welcome a solution, our kiosks are Windows based and the Mac option suggested hasn't worked. thanks
