Problem with tables and text overlapping in pages iOS

I've opened a word document in pages on my iPad that has tables for me to complete. When I first open the document the tables are set as wrap inline with text but the text is displaying over the tables. If I turn off inline with text they no longer overlap but the tables don't move around and so don't stay with the associated pieces of text. Please can anyone help?

iPad (4th gen) Wi-Fi, iOS 7.1

Depends on exactly what it is you are trying to achieve with the layout and how the text is applied (open text, a text box, etc.. The Automatic wrap setting (on teh table) might be your best option, but hard to tell.
