I just connected a brand new time capsule and recieved the error message, "Internal disk needs repair"

I just connected a brand new time capsule to my mac and received the error message" Internal disk needs repair" now what?

Airport Time Capsule 802.11ac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.2)

Go to the disk tab in airport utility and do a quick erase if that is possible..


You can also just power off the TC.. leave it a few hours and power on again.. sometimes you get a false reading.. but certainly if it pops up again, your have a dead out of the box item.. return immediately for replacement.. if you happen to live near an apple store or bought from a store with good return policy I would be tempted to take it straight back.. it does not auger well for the future if it is dead out of the box.
